Mission Statement

“Our goal is to promote, support and organize the game of cricket in the Greater Nashville area, to play and enjoy the game, to develop and train a team to play friendly and competitive matches with other teams, and to foster goodwill, health and happiness through the game of cricket.”

Who We Are?

The Nashville Cricket Club (NCC) was founded in 2002 for the purpose of promoting cricket in Nashville and its surrounding areas. We encourage, foster, and cultivate interest in the game of cricket as well as initiate and promote activities that further the development and advancement of cricket in Nashville. Here are our goals:

· Promote, encourage, foster and develop interest, knowledge and understanding of the game of cricket throughout Tennessee.
· Encourage and assist in promoting, administering and hosting cricket games between teams from various states, regions, zones or areas of the United States of America and elsewhere.
· Encourage and develop the highest standard of sportsmanship in all NCC cricket games.
· Development of youth cricket with in Nashville and surrounding areas.
· Establish and develop venues where local cricket can be played.
· Participate in one community service project per quarter to teach youth members the value of serving ones community.
· Promote diversity by welcoming members from all ethnic and religious backgrounds, and foster an environment of appreciation and respect for the diversity of members.

Cricket in the World

Cricket is a major and dominant sport in countries and regions representing approximately one quarter of the world's population. These include the United Kingdom, Southern Africa, Australia, the Caribbean and the Indian sub-continent. A significant following for the game exists in most regions of the world, notably the major cricket-playing countries, but also North America, South East Asia, the Middle East, Japan, Africa and Europe.
